When asked to create a living space that was highly comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, the designers at Goldfields Concepts resorted to contemporary design features to illustrate the spaciousness of its existing architectural structure and finished up with a touch of glamour through material selections. Upon entering the house via its double-door entrance, guests are immediately greeted by a display cabinet at the foyer that frames a hand-painted artwork, one that would surely stir conversation.
The design then leads guests into the living room visually via a series of wall partitions decorated in clean straight lines that go hand-in-hand with the contemporary character of the space. Furnished as minimally as possible to maintain a sense of spaciousness, the living room is fitted with a long L-shaped leather sofa to emphasise on the length of the space, as well as a square TV panel that’s accentuated through strategic lighting placements, creating a simple yet exciting feature wall. Over at the dining area, the designer chose to maintain geometrical detailing by introducing a triangle wall design to contrast its square frame, resulting in an intriguing visual highlight within the space.
Wanting to carry the same connectivity throughout the common areas, the dry kitchen featured a similar contemporary design with built-in kitchen cabinets, glossy white surfaces, a functional kitchen island with a breakfast counter extension, as well as a long pendant lamp that inspired a sleek, urban feel. The bedrooms on the upper level were kept modest with a series of calming décor and practical storage solutions, keeping a tranquil and organised space that would put you in for a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the residence was further equipped with a fully-fledged gym, an entertainment room, a spacious study area, as well as an outdoor terrace overlooking the landscape with modern tropical outdoor furniture. As a whole, the contemporary design gave this spacious bungalow a cosy living environment one would never tire off.
