Inspired by American drive up burger joints of the 1950s, Rachel’s Burger restaurant was envisioned as a porous space where the boundaries between internal and external spaces are blurred. The exterior walls can be opened fully to extend the perceived and actual borders of the restaurant. At the same time, the clever combination of a variety of glasses and mirrors greats a wide and spacious interior while bringing natural light and views of the landscape into the interior.
