Project type: F&B Outlet
Site area (sq. ft.): 1,420
Project location: Chulia Street Ghaut, Penang
Through the use of authentic Perankan décor, the designer revives the past and helps the new remember a partly forgotten culture, in this very Malaysian restaurant. Located in Chulia Street Ghaut, Penang this 1.420 square feet restaurant is designed with Peranakan tiles and motifs with Peranakan-style portals and windows.
Ornate tables and chairs complete the Peranakan theme. With global modernisation taking precedence over local cultures, it’s easy to forget history.
This culture-centric restaurant functions as a reminder of a diminishing past as well as, as a cosy place to enjoy a meal.
