Excited faces were everywhere to be seen when a host of top interior design professionals and bigwigs gathered at the Starhill Gallery in Kuala Lumpur on the night of 18 October 2018 for the ninth iteration of the Designer of the Year (DOTY) Awards. An annual interior design competition that exists to provide a platform for identifying and promoting visionary interior designers, the event recognises the industry’s top names for their creativity, workmanship and in-depth knowledge of the built environment.
Since it began, DOTY has become one of the most anticipated events of the year for interior designers as well as an important benchmark for consumers on design both locally and internationally. As 2018’s iteration recognises the designers’ undying passion and continued efforts to inspire a better future through interior design, the theme for the year was “Eternity”.
