DOTY Awards were initiated to give the highest honour and recognition to the local interior designers. DOTY 2017 proudly presented a new category of award, namely the Best Product Design Award. Best Product Design Award paid homage to some of the best home-related product designs that clearly demonstrated merit in the following assessment categories: designs that met or exceeded a certain standard, had superior design and showed potential for future-oriented designs. The four winners of this category are:
- Dornbracht, winner of Best Product Design (Bathroom) category
- GROHE Essence Colours, winner of Best Product Design (Bathroom) category
- Invisible Grille Sdn Bhd, winner of Best Product Design (Exterior) category
- Republic of Fritz Hansen, winner of Best Product Design (Furniture) category
