Reaching into the future that is constantly evolving, this sports and games bar is designed to provide an entertaining social environment while arousing multiple senses
Arena Bar TTDI is an established American-style sports and games bar that is located at the rooftop of Menara Ken TTDI, which offers a spectacular 360-degree view of the Petaling Jaya city. Adopting a futuristic underground theme, the entertainment bar’s dark atmospheric design reaches into the future to create the next generation of style, redefines entertainment of the new generation with constant evolution of interior ambience, and creates a multisensory experience for patrons.
Well positioned furnishings ensured good utilisation of space while enabling ease of mobility for patrons. The entertainment bar is wide and spacious, leaving a sense of comfort and safety. The establishment’s open concept design connects the bar, lounge, and gaming areas together; this encourages social interaction among patrons of the establishment. The combination of food and beverages, sport and gaming activities, and great parties provides a novel enjoyable sporting and entertainment experience in Malaysia. The use of neon, RGB LED, and Gobo lighting results in a creative visual experience. Matching interactive features with ever-changing colours create different impressions. A play of industrial materials, such as chains, corrugated panels, wire mesh, and checkered plate, brings out an underground style with a futuristic soul.
The façade of the entertainment bar’s entrance is brightly illuminated with words against walls brightly lit with red light. The client seeks to welcome patrons back with a different style of the Arena Bar. Beyond the entrance lies a blue-violet tunnel that leads to the bar lounge, creating a sense of change where one travels rapidly from a hot to a cold environment that increases one’s sense of calm. When placed next to each other, the strong hot and cold colours vibrate like fire and ice. A different ambience for the tunnel can also be created, as the tunnel lighting uses colour-changing lighting, where colours can be adjusted by the DJ. As an element of a Pachinko-inspired feature, ping pong balls would drop from the top of the side walls, leaving a strong impression as one makes an entrance into the bar lounge.
Rectangular and X-shaped beer pong tables become platforms for entertainment and social activities within the main lounge area. Digital vector illustrations of Pac-Man, the highest grossing arcade game in history, on beer pong tables become talking points for social occasions. Patrons that are enjoying social games can quench their thirst with beers that can be conveniently drawn from reverse taps at beer pong tables instead of the bar.
At one side of the lounge lies an exclusive social area that allows a clear view of the city. The illumination from ceiling and wall lightings of primarily red-violet and blue-violet, together with brown leather sofas, result in an energetic regal atmosphere that feels almost magical. The private lounge has its own ball game, where a button launches a ball to run along the blue-purple coloured path at the ceiling. It returns to the wall and enters the wall feature where it drops down into a decision path. A wide beer pong table with a digital illustration of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles leaves a sense of nostalgia that reminds guests of the 80s era. When various design elements converge together, the result is an entertaining social environment that arouses multiple senses.
