Having to compete with many deserving interior designers from all over the world is a hefty task in itself, but Malaysia’s very own The Roof Studio proved that all things all possible. With their submission of The Roof’s design studio and showroom to the famous A’ Design Award & Competition, Design Director Ken Thong and Design Manager Emma Yap were all smiles when they were acknowledged with the Golden A’ Design Award.
By delving into the “Industrial Glam” concept, the project’s shop lot was essentially divided into two core areas that differed from one another in terms of elements, yet the creative duo managed to visualise as well as produce a glamourous and sophisticated space. Combining both aesthetics and functionality into this award-winning design, The Roof Studio showed that creativity knows no boundaries as it solidifies the notion where design is meant to solve problems while enhancing the quality of life.
With another international award in the bag, we are keen to see what The Roof Studio has in store for us in the near future.
