Capturing the grandiose qualities of the Chinoiserie era, a mixture of sophisticated Oriental motifs and luxurious European detailing fill the living spaces of this VIP showroom; or some might say, this modern-day palace. Aside from the abundant intricate decorative features, each space is anchored with a gorgeous ceiling design, lavish wall panels, corbels and complex cornices, which play a major role in creating this sense of exclusivity that makes guests feel pampered and respected. At the same time, the different facets of Chinoiserie designs are showcased through various colour combinations that distinguish each individual space.
The main hall – also the living area – is fashioned with a classical wooden coffee table with gold detailing, a grand mirror, a selection of visually-impressive wallpaper and a matching chandelier with jade stones to bring out a truly opulent atmosphere in a carefully-contrasted design. Simultaneously, each furniture is meticulously paired with its custom-made, built-in fixtures to ensure that the bold features harmoniously enhance its overall appeal. Furthermore, due to the uniqueness of this concept, the designers had to be extremely creative in their approach to actualise the designs, hence a large portion of the decorative features are handcrafted or hand-painted.
The other highlight of this project is the director’s room, which takes on a more classical European vibe with its laser-cut, Roman-inspired sky dome and pristine white colour palette lined with rich golden details. Meanwhile, the washroom is decorated in a similar opulent manner with dark emerald tiles and a light-hearted hummingbird wallpaper. On the other hand, the powder room features a classic black-and-white colour palette through its marble and granite finishes to provide a sense of spaciousness. By pairing contrasting colour tones, bold details and rich visuals, this showroom captures the sophistication of a palace that is unrestricted by its 1,200 square feet built-up area.
