Given the responsibility to create a holiday home that is both stylish and welcoming, the designers of ZRO Design went with a modern classical approach inspired by famous French brand, Hermès, which emphasises on natural material selections, high-quality workmanship as well as its signature Art Deco vibe. As a result, the common areas instinctively exude a lavish yet homely vibe that resembles a 5-star hotel suite. From the main entrance, guests were guided into its interior through a gorgeous wooden wall feature that hugs the structural wall all the way to the living room I a sleek and sexy curve. At the end of the timber wall, guests are greeted by the sight of a curve-designed sofa, which is fabricated with exclusive Warwick fabric from Australia. Hermès throw cushions are added to enrich the overall ambience and colour texture, creating an elegant and relaxed area for guests and family.
In order to expand the Hermès theme throughout its common areas, two distinctive Hermès paintings featuring Art Deco and Art Nouveau were taken to decorate the white walls of tis dining and kitchen are respectively, transforming the entire interior back into a time when French style and elegance are at its peak. On top of that, the dry kitchen is fashioned with a sleek quartz stone kitchen island, custom-made cabinets equipped with high-tech appliances and an elevated timber platform fitted with concealed lighting, which enhanced its overall ambience with a touch of exclusivity. Designer lighting fixtures – Melt by Tom Dixon – were tastefully added into the design to match its emphasis on quality and sophistication. A beautifully – distorted lighting a globe that generates mesmerising melting hot-blown glass effect, the lamp is translucent when turned on a while altering into a urban mirror finish when switched off, emitting an attractive, mildly hallucinogenic light in the process. As such, the designers aim to provide the visual appeal of a luxury hotel with the comforts of a resort suite in one single space.
Capturing the feather-like vibe of the French fashion brand, the design of its master bedroom features an airy and cosy atmosphere that instantly puts the residents at ease. Instead of incorporating a bulky headboard, the sleeping are features an elevated platform wrapped in soft and smooth fabric upholstery enhanced with dramatic concealed lighting as an option to alter the mood within the bedroom. No stay at a luxury hotel is complete without a lavish bathroom as the ensuite-master bath is furnished with glass shower screen and grad marble surfaces that provide a complete home-away-from-home experience.
