All things lovely and sweet, booming tea store Panntea’s latest branch is inspired by love, as it bears all things. Local design firm, Turn Design Interior once again turned things around with this outlet’s task in hand. This time, however, it is a completely different outlook from Panntea Setapak’s timeless story.
Captivated by the credulous love stories, the idea is to bring most women’s dream alive by envisioning a chic blush interior. It seems like smearing the interior in pink would be renowned designer Karim Rashid’s choice of colour. Symbolising unconditional love and nurturing, this feminine colour is composed with lush, gold adornment while the white softens the distinction.
Echoing with this year’s Milan design week focus – merge of design and art installation – the design team has come up with a gold metal cage-like inspired seating in an enchanted garden which brings excitement to once little birds, now released to taste and explore beyond comfort zone.
It is definitely not hard to miss the magenta pink velvet, cushioned against the half-cut curved metal coverings. Soon, it is paired with marble-like tables and thin, contemporary upholstered chairs to encourage more seating. More eye-catching elements are created into the play when a white bar counter with gold-framed light bulb fixtures, is gorgeously donned akin to a dressing table.
Not to mention, the fashioned backdrop attached with mirrors surely does look like a girl’s dream wardrobe. The positioning radiates harmony to the rest of the smaller sitting arrangement found in every nook and cranny. The artistic concoct and strong appeal have made this outlet an Instagram magnet aiming for the millennial generation.
Thusly, the design team decided to burgeon a bare section of the wall into a feature wall of pink roses which is neon-lit with tea’s brand name and logo. Perfect for another photo taking scene, the rest of the walls are texturally painted to the theme colour, of course. Lastly, an interior just won’t do without the boon of reflection and for this – circular inverted mirrors.
Placed onto the ceilings, the mirrors act like magic picture frames reflecting certain angle of the space captured. Instead of instilling lamp post into the picture, the mirrors are inserted onto the pole. With the circular theme going round the space, even the lighting designs selection are avant-garde. A getaway of rapture and enhancement, this ever fantasy world brings about hope to those who dare to throw their pie in the sky.
